Website accessibility

Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act applies: many web shops and online services must be accessible to people with disabilities, and in the Netherlands the ACM supervises this. I check your website for accessibility, show what needs to improve and fix it. Even if the law doesn't apply to you, your site gets better for everyone.

From€495excl. VATIdeal for: web shops, online services, SMBs

Who it's for

  • Web shops and online services covered by the European Accessibility Act
  • Businesses that want to know where they stand before the regulator takes a look
  • Organisations that need to show clients or tenders that their site is accessible
  • Anyone who wants their site to work for every visitor, including people with disabilities

What you get

  • Audit against WCAG 2.1 AA

Automated scans plus manual checks with keyboard and screen reader, on the most important pages and flows of your site.

  • Clear report with priorities

For each issue what it is, who it affects and how to fix it, so you know where to start.

  • Fixes on your own platform

I fix the issues in your custom site, WordPress or Shopify. You get a fixed price after the audit.

  • Re-check

After the fixes I check again, so you know for sure everything is resolved.

Why Oosterom Studio

Checked against WCAG

I test your site against WCAG 2.1 level AA, the standard the law refers to. Automated scans plus manual checks with keyboard and screen reader, because scans alone miss a lot.

A report you understand

No list of jargon, but for each issue what it is, who it affects and how to fix it, in order of importance.

How much does an accessibility audit cost?

An audit starts at €495 excl. VAT for a small website. Fixes get a fixed price after the audit. The price mainly depends on:

  • the number of different page types (e.g. home, product, cart, forms)
  • whether it's a web shop with an ordering and payment flow
  • the platform: custom, WordPress or Shopify
  • whether you want me to fix the issues as well

Frequently asked questions

Does the European Accessibility Act apply to me?

The law mainly covers consumer products and services, such as web shops and online booking. Micro-enterprises providing services (fewer than 10 employees and no more than €2 million turnover or balance sheet total) are exempt. Not sure? We can look at it together. This is not legal advice.

What happens if my site isn't accessible?

The regulator can address businesses and impose fines. And you miss out on customers: people who can't use your site buy elsewhere.

Isn't an automated scan enough?

A scan is a good start; the free website check on this site already gives an accessibility score. But scans only find part of the issues. Whether your site works with only a keyboard or a screen reader has to be tested by hand.

Will my site also rank better?

Often, yes. Many accessibility improvements, such as proper headings, alt text and clear links, also help Google understand your site.

Curious what it would cost you?

Tell me briefly about your project. You'll get a proposal with a fixed price and timeline, no strings attached.
